Connie’s Candles Inc. had very humble beginnings. Way back in the mid-1990’s, a friend talked me into trying to make candles together. I thought at first, “why go to the trouble, when you can buy them practically anywhere?” Well, to say the least, our first attempts were pretty sad, and finding help was near to impossible. Once I start something though, I’m obsessive! Within a short while, I had wax on the kitchen counters and boxes of supplies stored throughout the house. I think my husband had a weak moment when he suggested I rent a little retail space in town. Maybe he thought he might get his garage back. Soon, though, the focus of our company moved into supplying other candlemakers rather than competing with them. Since those early days, we’ve complemented the product line with bath and body products and most recently reed diffuser products. We hope our customers have had as much fun growing into the candlemaking business as we have trying to provide the best quality, most affordable candlemaking supplies available.
